I have tubs, tile, Showers, and sinks that I can not get clean anymore. Can you help? The protective surface on tubs, ceramic tile, fiberglass showers, and sinks eventually wears away with years of usage and abrasive cleaners. The dirt gets into the base and cannot be cleaned away anymore. We can refinish your surface/fixtures with a hard, durable, shiny coating that repels dirt, mold, mildew, and makes cleaning very easy. What is the process you use for refinishing? We thoroughly sand, clean and repair chips, cracks, holes, rust, burns, etc... In porcelain, cast iron, steel, fiberglass, cultured marble, or formica surface/fixtures. We again clean the surface, completely mask off the existing fixture and the surrounding area. Next our technicians bond, prime, and apply several coats of our acrylic coating which produces a hard, shiny, long lasting finish . Last we remove all masking paper from the fixture.
How durable is it?Just as technology has improved so many things, the refinishing coatings used by J&S are incredibly durable. Our finishes are designed to stand up to their intended use... However, just like a new surface, a refinished surface can be chipped or scratched if it is abused.
How long will it last?Fixtures refinished by J&S should easily last 10 to 15 years with proper care and maintenance.
How long will it take?A standard size bathtub in reasonable condition will take around 4 to 6 hours to refinish. The tub can be ready to use within 12 hours (in commercial locations, using special curing procedures) but we normally recommend leaving the surface cure for 24 hours for the best hardening.
What about changing the color? Our customers usually request a white or almond color but we can also provide for any standard color you may choose.

Is refinishing just for bathtubs?No, refinishing is great for a variety of surfaces including fiberglass shower stalls, kitchen Formica counter tops and other laminates, ceramic tile, cultured marble vanity tops, and acrylic tubs.
What should i do to prepare before technician arrives? Simply remove all items from fixture surface.( soaps, bottles, towels, rags, shower curtains etc...)
