What to do before we arrive

The most important thing that you can do is to make sure that the surfaces to be refinished are fairly clean before we arrive. We will be cleaning the surface as part of our process. However, we find that the finished product is improved when the surface is reasonably clean when we get there. You can be aggressive in your cleaning, as we will cleaning and sanding the entire surface later.

Any fixtures (drains, faucets, over flow plates, trim, shower doors and frames etc.) that are going to be replaced should be removed or replaced before we arrive.

Bathtubs · Sinks · Showers · Vanity Tops:

Remove all items that are out in the open in bathroom. (Example: shower curtains and rods, rugs,  shampoo bottles, tooth brushes, glasses, hair products) They can be taken out of the bathroom or placed in drawer or cabinet.

Repair leaky faucet (if applicable)

Give surface a decent cleaning. Best to use a liquid dish soap with a degreaser, warm water and a Scotch-Brite pad.

Kitchen Countertops

Turn off gas to stove, electric stove is ok

Give surface a decent cleaning. Best to use a liquid dish soap with a degreaser, warm water and a Scotch-Brite pad.

Tile (counters · showers · surrounds and wall tile)

It is best if you remove at least the toilet tank if we are to refinish the tile in back of the toilet. You do not have to remove the entire toilet.

Be sure that the grout is in good condition (we can take care of small areas that are missing) Any major grout condition problems will have to be addressed prior to refinishing.

Repair any loose tiles,  etc. ( if applicable)
